I recorded this on Feb. 28, 2010. My car had overheated, so I'd pulled over to the side of the Chicago-bound side of I-94. I was waiting for the AAA tow truck to come when i heard these train sounds. I'd heard most of those kinds of train sounds before -- the rumbling of the wheels on the tracks, etc. But then there was a strange high-pitched whistle which wasn't the sound of a train whistle. It sounds like it was the wheels whistling/squeaking on the tracks.
